Terms of Use

Last updated: August 8, 2026

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Neatly mobile application ("Neatly", "the app"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

These Terms apply to the Android application published under the brand name Neatly and the store title Neatly: Subscriptions & Bills.

These Terms cover how you may use the app. How the app handles your data is described separately in the Privacy Policy.

1. Using the app

You may install and use Neatly on devices you own or control, for your own personal, non-commercial use. This permission is personal to you, cannot be transferred, and may be withdrawn if you do not follow these Terms.

All rights in the app, including its code, design, and brand name, remain with the developer. These Terms do not transfer any ownership of the app to you.

2. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the app;
  • reverse engineer or attempt to extract the source code of the app, except where this restriction is prohibited by applicable law;
  • use the app for any unlawful purpose or in a way that could damage, disable, or impair the app;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to any systems related to the app.

The app is a personal tool for tracking payments, subscriptions, trials, and recurring expenses that you enter manually. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you add and for the decisions you make based on it.

3. Data, privacy, and third-party services

Neatly is designed to work without an account, without a bank connection, and without server synchronization of your payment records. Your records are stored on your device.

Neatly relies on a few third-party services: public exchange-rate sources — the National Bank of Ukraine API and an open exchange-rate dataset delivered through jsDelivr and Cloudflare Pages — to power currency features, and optional analytics and crash diagnostics (Firebase), which are turned off by default. These services are operated by third parties and are subject to their own terms.

How data is handled across all of these — local storage, exchange-rate requests, optional analytics, and support requests — is described in full in the Privacy Policy, which forms part of your use of the app.

4. Reminders are provided on a best-effort basis

Neatly can schedule local notifications to help you remember dates you added to the app. These reminders are provided on a best-effort basis and depend on your device and its settings.

Device factors outside our control — including battery optimization, notification permissions, "do not disturb" modes, background restrictions, device restarts, storage limits, and manufacturer-specific power management — may delay or prevent a reminder from appearing.

Do not rely on Neatly as your only reminder for important or time-sensitive payments. Neatly is a personal organization aid, not a payment, billing, or bill-paying service, and it does not make payments on your behalf.

5. No financial advice

Neatly helps you record and organize your own expense information. It does not provide financial, accounting, tax, investment, or legal advice.

Any exchange rates, totals, summaries, or other figures shown in the app are for general informational purposes only and may be approximate or delayed. You should verify important figures independently before relying on them.

6. The app is provided "as is"

The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that it will meet your specific requirements.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from missed payments, late fees, incorrect data, missed or delayed reminders, or your inability to use the app.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law.

8. Future paid features

The current version of Neatly does not include active purchases or subscription billing. A paid tier ("Plus") may be introduced in a future version. If it is, additional terms covering purchases, pricing, and refunds will be provided before or together with that release, and any related purchases will also be subject to the terms of the app store used for the transaction.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version at the same URL with a new effective date. Your continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Mandatory consumer-protection rights in your country of residence remain unaffected.
